We attempt to bring our influence to bear on those people in your world who are the cause of much strife and turmoil but without the help of people such as yourselves, without your help and others all around your world, the light does not shine and therefore it is more difficult for us to penetrate the darkness surrounding the people who create the turmoil.
It must be very difficult for you to accept my words as fact, but I urge you to use your own minds. Question what you are told. I have told you I once was the same as you. I lived amongst the plains of a distant land. I questioned what I was told by my elders, but I lived according to the rules of that time, close to nature and nature was our greatest guide.
We learned that as you did to the world around you, to the people around you, so you would receive in equal measure, for I have progressed for the many ages that I have been in the world of Spirit. I have learned so much that I cannot question the validity of those words, as you speak of others, as you think of others, as you do to others there is a reflection that will bring those thoughts, those words, those deeds back to you and your consciousness.
It will be stored within you until such time that you understand that you now need to absolve yourself of the thoughts and the deeds and the words that harm others. For you are being harmed by actions. I was not aware of such a thing when I lived in your world.
Throughout my life I rebelled, I fought, and I have to tell you I killed to survive and that brings me to motive. The Great Spirit, God as we call him, provides us with all that we need with which to exist, and there are times in desperation in my life when it was necessary to take the life of an animal to survive. For the fur, for the food, even for the skeletal remains to create tools and weapons. For we too were under threat from other people in our environment.
It was necessary to create tools and weapons with which to defend ourselves and therefore motive was a very, very strong influence upon the way we lived, and it is not until my life was threatened that I learnt to understand the interconnectivity between individuals and nature, and gradually I became wiser and more understanding of what was to be.
The circumstances of your lives are so much different. You are governed rather than to work for yourselves. You are governed and dare I say you are told what to think. You are told what to believe, you are told how to live your lives and if you choose to speak against what you are told I think I am right in suggesting that your lives will be made difficult. Those who govern you will tend to suppress the thoughts that you have because you may consider that your thoughts are of a minority, but may I suggest that you are not of a minority?
You are peace loving. You wish to be at one with nature, you wish there will be no hunger, you wish that everybody could be at the same standard of living and yet, and yet, it is not to be.
How can you not see that the inequitable world in which you live is a source of much anger and antagonism around your world?
There are those who rebel against the society in which they live, the governments that control their lives. There are those who are losing their lives for their beliefs, but still there are more of the same beliefs who choose to continue the struggle for equitable life. I believe I am right when I say there are those within this church this evening who share the suffering that these people endure. They share the suffering, they send out thoughts of love and healing to those people who are less fortunate than themselves and that, my friends is what religion is about.
