It is good that those who are here are interested to learn about this world you call ‘the world of Spirit’.
To learn about the aspect of this religion that you may not have experienced before, and that is good.
For we are on a pathway of many experiences, understandings and I hope you will continue to learn from those who represent your religion.
I am always an instrument, an instrument of communication. I can inform you of how my own life has progressed since I left this world – this Earth Plane as you call it, many, many, many moons ago.
My memory is very faint, however as a result of my continuous attempts to speak through Alan and continuous awareness of the Earth life through attending, my memory has improved sufficiently to tell you of my former existence here on earth.
I was what you call an Indian, working on the plains of a country you now call America.
We had no need for names for we believed that we were the only ones and ours was the only land, and therefore our existence was to be at one with nature and the Great Spirit.
‘Ah’, I hear you say, ‘Great Spirit, how did we know the Great Spirit, when you refer in modern times to the Great Spirit’?
I answer that we were a very Spiritual race and we believed in the power of nature.
We believed in the seasons of life, of age, of degeneration, of new life.
And we credited this evolution to what you call, God.
However, God, as the Great Spirit encompasses far more than you can ever know, and through our meditations, our times of peace and quiet and solitude we became aware of those around us, our ancestors who had passed through the door you call death, and we became aware of words of wisdom communicated from these people, and therefore through evolution our minds allowed us to understand where our departed relations existed.
It must be what you call ‘the world of Spirit’.
It follows that in that world there must be a greater force of good, a greater force of existence, which is responsible for all we see, hear and touch, and to that, we gave the name Great Spirit.
We were often in communication with those who lived in that world. We were given advice, warnings, communication of many kinds. When to venture forth, when to remain where we were. The seasons often changed suddenly and abruptly, and we were warned of such events.
We learned to trust, we learned to work together for all, when nobody had too little and nobody had too much. Our children were our future and therefore we nurtured them to work with us and become responsible adults for the future, and thus, our existence was harmonious.
Harmonious with each other, harmonious with nature and harmonious with the Great Spirit.
This trilogy enabled us to live peacefully and have abundance of what nature has given but unfortunately, I witnessed after my departure from your world, a great transformation in that which was important for the existence of mankind, and that my friends was a very heavy burden for me to bear, unable to influence that which was happening. Unable to help those who were struggling to maintain their earthly existence, which had been happening for many, many centuries.
That is ‘progress’ as you call it. To us it was a backward step. Spiritually the world is now barren. Barren of ideas and always in need.
Yes, you talk of the need to help those who are suffering wherever they may be. However, I feel that the greater need is of self-protection before helping others.
As a tribe we shared, and as I said, ‘no one had too little and no one had too much’.
And yet I see in your world extremes of wealth and extremes of poverty, and much in between of course. Until these extremes have been abolished, destroyed, the world will continue to have disharmony. Disharmony through corruption, through selfishness, through the need to protect things that you have collectively, rather than share and reduce the misery that exists in your world.
But that is not why I am here. I do not wish to make you feel guilty as an individual. I do not wish to make you feel less a person than myself. I merely point out that we had a life, an existence where we shared all that the Great Spirit offered, we lost nothing, and we lived in harmony. That should be your aim throughout your life. As you think, so you are and as you are, you have influence by thinking clearly and being what you might call ‘a better person’.
Allow others to follow your example. If those who govern you are unable to fulfil the wishes of the people, then those people who govern you are not worthy of your support.
I realise that you are unable to have individual influence upon these events and these people but collectively you can have great power.
You need a leader who understands the needs of the people. You need an influential speaker who can influence those who need leadership.
However, whenever in the past, such a person has appeared, his demise has become almost inevitable. There have been scholars, religious people, Presidents, Kings, all nature of individuals. They have become a force for good, creating leadership for those who choose a less selfish existence, but they were deemed to be troublesome.
Can you understand the frustration that we feel when such a person is sent to your world, is nurtured, is taught and learns to understand a better way of living, and then to go forward to speak for the common good, only to be suppressed and in some cases, deceased?
You know what I mean by these words. If they are not imprisoned, their lives are taken from them.
I apologise for speaking as I do, but this is a lesson for you. It seems as I speak of my earthly existence, it follows that I could speak of your existence and make a comparison, for you to understand.
It has taken centuries to lose the way we existed of sharing and of brotherhood, to the existence we have now of selfishness and greed.
It will take centuries to turn back the clock I fear, but I find there is a common good among all peoples when they are allowed to think freely and openly. When they are allowed to show the Spirit within themselves given free rein to express itself.
There are many, many hundreds of thousands of people of like mind, but where is the leader, bold enough to bring together that which is necessary to make your lives more peaceful and equitable now?
Can you understand my disappointment if we are unable to influence a greater number of people other than those within this church tonight?
One day my friends, the breakthrough will happen. People such as myself will influence others around your world in such numbers that you will find a natural leader to take you forward, to unite people in a common good. Taking away the artificial props of power that your governments built around them.
It has happened before in a small way; it can happen again.
Whenever there are natural disasters in your world there is a great outpouring of peace, love and harmony in wishing to help. A great outpouring of unselfish thought.
Why do you need a natural disaster for such a powerful emotion to appear? Why, why, why?
The power of Spirit is there for you to use. But you must wish to use it to make a difference, for things to change.
