John MacIntosh Stewart was born in Scotland and became a Spiritualist as a teenager. He was president of our church from 1930-1939. 1940-1942 and was interim president in 1948. He was present at the opening of our current building in 1955, and the picture is of John Stewart at the laying of the foundation stone.
